the most extravagant way to worship God!
What is Drag Church?
Drag Church is a bold, vibrant celebration of the diversity within God’s creation, offering a sacred space where everyone—LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and allies alike—can come together to experience and honor God’s radical, unconditional love. Drag Church is an invitation for congregations and communities alike to redefine what it means to worship in a way that truly includes everyone.
Drag Church is a place free of judgment, where self-expression through drag performance, colorful attire, and other creative forms of spirituality is not only welcomed but celebrated. Here, authenticity is embraced as a divine gift, and the message is clear: you are seen, you are valued, and you belong exactly as you are, just as God intended.
For those who have felt excluded, hurt, or even condemned by traditional church spaces, Drag Church offers a transformative and healing experience. It’s not just about the glitter, makeup, or theatrics—it’s about creating a genuine community rooted in love, liberation, and acceptance.
Drag Church affirms that every person is made in God’s image and is meant to shine fully. This is a space where beauty, individuality, and freedom collide in a way that touches heartS. Through the art of drag, attendees are reminded that God celebrates difference and diversity, not conformity.
Marge, the passionate and courageous preacher, speaks with unwavering conviction. Her sermons are infused with love, hope, and a vision for a better world (what we call the Kin-dom of God in Christian circles), inviting everyone to reimagine what it means to be in true community.
Drag Church challenges societal norms and church traditions that have for too long excluded or marginalized those who dare to be different. At a Drag Church service, societal barriers melt away, and the divine beauty in every individual is uplifted and cherished.
In a world that too often silences or marginalizes those who stand out, Drag Church reminds us of the transformative power of radical inclusion. It’s a call to action—a reminder to celebrate diversity, amplify voices that have been silenced, and embody God’s infinite love with courage, compassion, and creativity. Drag Church is a sacred sanctuary where spirituality and self-expression merge, offering hope and healing to those seeking a deeper connection with their faith and with one another. It is an invitation for everyone to step into the fullness of who they are and glorify God in their own unique, beautiful way.
